Head Signtist, Brett Renall has been creating custom macrocarpa signage for people and businesses all over New Zealand from his workshop in Lincoln, Christchurch for over 10 years.

Funnily enough, working with wood runs strong in the Renall family. It all started with Brett’s grandad, Ian who was a joiner over 65 years ago which inspired Brett’s dad, Steve to became a joiner. Then Brett’s brother, Kent runs a sawmill and so it’s only fitting that Brett got involved with wood too. That’s where Woodpecker Signs comes in. At Christmas time, you can imagine that the macrocarpa chat is always top of the (macrocarpa) table.

When Brett is not busy in the workshop, he’s coaching the local rugby team, watching the warriors win (day 1 fan), or entertaining his daughter, Vienna and his wife, Angel. You may have seen Brett on the telly a while ago, because that’s actually where he met his wife, Angel. It’s a funny story that one, that we’ll save for another day.
